A few weeks ago, our team in Cameroon engaged with local community women to not only educate but also to put the right tools in their hands to determine their water quality as well as how to practically stop waterborne diseases using different disinfection approaches at home.
At the core of the EKCOLAB mission, we pay special priority to women and young girls’ inclusion in our programs. We make sure there are equal numbers of women as men in every given activity and outreaches and training campaigns for local community development.
Women sit at the center of every community, nation, and future generation. We provided access to this special knowledge in a simple format that can be easily understood and applied in their daily activities to safeguard their homes and communities. We provided training on water quality and water purification at the household level and how to maintain a clean environment free from pollution.
