The EKCÖLAB international training 2023 was held from 1st-30th November 2023 . This event gathered more than 300 youths who registered for the training from more than 15 different countries around the world. This training was held for environmental and water awareness created to project the ideas and visions of the organisation in preparing and training future water and environmental experts and educating young professionals to take charge of their environmental and water resources, which is in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals 4, 6, 11, and 13.
The training structure consisted of;
- Environmental field techniques and completion of environmental inspection forms.
- Water sample collection and procedures for standard sample collection techniques.
- Group execution of tasks aimed at demonstrating adequate understanding of the workshop.
- Quiz/Test of knowledge for water and environmental awareness.
- Finally, presentation of certificates to exceptional participants and recognition of excellence.
The theme for 2023 was “Applying Knowledge With Practice to Bring Safe Water and Environment in Local Communities”.
- All those who registered for this training and passed the assessment obtained the Environmental and Water Sanitary Inspector Certification.
This is the 3rd international training which has been held so far by the organisation. Theme for 2021 training was captioned; “A Practical Approach In Solving Water Quality Problems For Local Communities In Africa”
The first segment of the program took place onsite and remotely in September 2021 in Cameroon and Nigeria respectively.
The Theme for 2022 training was: “Changing the Narratives and Seeking Long Lasting Solutions to Curb Water and Environmental Problems In Communities”.
